Privacy policy
Last updated 30 October 2026
This policy covers Delhi Gramophone Records and the website at https://delhigramophonerecords.com. It is written plainly on purpose. If anything here is unclear, write to us at [email protected].
What we collect
- When you place an order
- Your name, delivery address, email address and phone number — the minimum needed to post a record to you and tell you it is coming.
- When you ask to be told about a record
- Your email address only.
- When you offer records to us
- Your name, contact details and whatever you tell us about the records.
- Automatically
- Standard web server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) kept by our hosting provider for security and to keep the site working.
We never see your card details. Payments are handled by the payment provider on their own systems; they pass us only the result.
Why we hold it
- To take payment, pack the right record and post it to the right address.
- To answer you if something is wrong with an order.
- To keep the sales records Indian tax law requires us to keep.
We do not use your details for advertising, and we do not profile you.
Who else sees it
- The courier — your name, address and phone number, so they can deliver.
- Our payment provider — what they need to take the payment.
- Our hosting and database providers, who store the data on our behalf.
We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone else, and we never pass it to advertisers.
How long we keep it
- Orders: as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires.
- Wantlist entries: until you ask us to remove you.
- Messages: until they are no longer useful for supporting you.
Your rights
Write to [email protected] and you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We will reply within 30 days. We may have to keep order records for the legal period above even after a deletion request.
Cookies
We use only what the site needs to work: a cookie that keeps you signed in if you are staff, and your basket and currency choice stored in your own browser. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
